As I dwell on Christ’s birth it is astounding to me that Jesus was born in a simple barn and placed in the trough that the livestock ate from. This seemingly insignificant birth of a child in a manger forever changed the destiny of humanity.

I wonder how often the small things we do make a difference for time and eternity in the lives of those around us. A couple of small things that I’ve been dwelling on this Christmas season are about what I’ll do in the coming weeks.

First, I’m praying about what God would have me invest in the Lottie Moon Christmas offering. We have two more Sundays left in December, so prayerfully consider what God could do in eternity for someone through your seemingly insignificant gift.

Secondly, I’m excited about the opportunity to invite lost folks to see Team-Impact, a group of world class athletes that creatively share the timeless message of salvation in Jesus Christ. The crusade, planned for January 17-21, promises to be an experience Tecumseh will not soon forget.

However, I know that a successful crusade will require lost folks attending, lots of prayer, and volunteer workers. You will need to invite your friends, neighbors, family, co-workers, and make a personal commitment to volunteer and attend. YOU can change someone’s destiny for time and eternity – INVEST and INVITE!
